lucadelladora – Xiaomi has introduced a new student-focused version of its tablet in China called the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Learning Edition. The device is designed for education use and builds on the standard Redmi Pad 2 Pro by adding software tools for students, bundled accessories, and study-focused hardware enhancements.

The new tablet follows the launch of the regular Redmi Pad 2 Pro in September 2025. Earlier this year, Xiaomi also introduced a Redmi Pad 2 Pro Harry Potter Edition that was limited to China. Now, the company has expanded the lineup again with a version aimed at students and families looking for a dedicated learning device.
In terms of core hardware, the Learning Edition shares the same technical specifications as the standard Redmi Pad 2 Pro. It features a 12.1-inch display with 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, Xiaomi adds matte glass to this version, which reduces glare and helps minimize eye strain during longer study sessions.
That display adjustment could prove especially useful for students using the tablet indoors under bright lighting or for extended reading periods.
Powering the tablet is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. Xiaomi offers the Learning Edition in a single memory configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This should be sufficient for multitasking between educational apps, note-taking tools, streaming lessons, and web browsing.
Battery capacity stands at 12,000mAh, which is substantial for a tablet in this category. The device supports 33W wired fast charging and also includes 27W reverse wired charging. Allowing it to potentially charge other compatible devices.
Included Stylus, Rugged Case, and AI Teaching Tools Add Value
One of the biggest differences compared with the standard model is the included accessory bundle. Xiaomi packages the tablet with a colorful rugged case and a smart stylus. The protective case includes a latch, a dedicated stylus holder, and a foldable cover that doubles as a kickstand.
These additions make the device more practical for classroom use, desk study, and travel. A bundled stylus is particularly useful for handwriting notes, solving math problems, sketching diagrams, and navigating learning apps.
The tablet also includes AI-powered homework grading. The system can provide feedback, identify weak knowledge areas, and help students focus on topics requiring improvement.
Another major inclusion is a three-year subscription to Xiaomi Education Center. This platform reportedly offers access to textbooks, over 150,000 lessons, study plans, and other educational resources.
Pricing for the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Learning Edition is set at CNY 2,699. Which is around $396 or €337 depending on exchange rates. That is significantly higher than the CNY 1,799 price of the regular Redmi Pad 2 Pro with the same 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.
At present, Xiaomi has not confirmed any international launch plans. With anti-glare hardware, bundled accessories, and AI-powered educational tools. Xiaomi is clearly targeting families who want a dedicated digital learning companion.
