Motorola’s Edge series has become known for delivering upper mid-range hardware with flagship-inspired design, and the Edge 70 Pro continues that formula. The device features a curved display, bold color finishes, and a square-rounded camera module on the rear.

At first glance, the camera housing appears to hold four cameras, but one section is reserved for the LED flash. The design still gives the phone a premium and modern look that stands out in a crowded market.

The handset arrives in Lily White, Titan, and Tea color options. Motorola says each finish carries Pantone certification, continuing the brand’s recent emphasis on color-focused styling.

One of the biggest highlights is the display. The Edge 70 Pro uses a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a sharp 2772 x 1272 resolution and a pixel density of 450 PPI.

It also supports a 144Hz refresh rate, making animations, scrolling, and gaming feel especially smooth. For users upgrading from standard 60Hz or 90Hz screens, the difference can be noticeable in daily use.

Brightness is another standout feature. Motorola rates the panel at up to 5,200 nits peak brightness, with 1,800 nits high brightness mode. That should help outdoor visibility significantly in bright sunlight.

With these specifications, the Edge 70 Pro’s screen could be one of the strongest selling points in its price category.

Big Battery, Fast Charging, and Strong Camera Hardware

Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 Pro with a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. This newer battery technology can improve capacity without dramatically increasing thickness or weight.

A battery this size should appeal strongly to users who prioritize endurance. Depending on usage, many buyers could expect a full day comfortably, with lighter users potentially stretching beyond that.

Charging is also competitive. The phone supports 90W wired charging, allowing quick top-ups when time is limited. Reverse wired charging at 5W is included as well for powering accessories or another phone.

Inside, the device uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, described as a new variant of the processor family used in other upper mid-range devices. Combined with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, performance should be solid for multitasking, gaming, and demanding apps.

Camera hardware is another major focus. The rear setup includes a 50MP Sony Lytia 710 main sensor with optical image stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture.

A second 50MP ultra-wide camera offers a 122-degree field of view and 12mm equivalent focal length, giving users more flexibility for landscapes and group shots.

On the front, the Edge 70 Pro includes a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus, a feature that can improve sharpness for portraits, video calls, and content creation.

Pricing and Availability

The Edge 70 Pro starts at INR 38,999, roughly $415, for the version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. A higher-end model with 12GB RAM is priced at INR 41,999, or around $449. Sales are scheduled to begin on April 29 in India.

Overall, the Edge 70 Pro looks highly competitive. With a premium display, strong battery life, fast charging, and multiple 50MP cameras, Motorola is aiming directly at buyers who want flagship-like features without flagship pricing.
