Vivo Y31 Pro Launches with Dimensity 7300 Chipset

lucadelladora – Vivo has officially launched the Y31 series in India, expanding its mid-range smartphone portfolio with two new models: the Vivo Y31 and Y31 Pro. The Y31 Pro leads the lineup with enhanced features, while the standard Y31 caters to budget-conscious users. Both smartphones share design elements but differ in performance, display, and internal hardware.

The Vivo Y31 Pro features a slightly refreshed rear design with a larger camera module than its predecessor. It houses a dual-camera system with a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor for portrait shots. The device comes in two elegant color options: mocha brown and dreamy white.

Under the hood, the Y31 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. It pairs 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage, though there’s no option to expand storage via microSD card. The phone also includes a 6,500 mAh battery supporting 44 W wired charging, promising long-lasting usage and fast refueling. Buyers can use third-party chargers like the Ugreen Nexode 65 W USB-C, available at $25.79 on Amazon.

The Pro variant sports a 6.72-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels. It offers a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1050 nits, making it suitable for multimedia and gaming. Out of the box, the device runs on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. However, Vivo has not yet disclosed its long-term software update policy for this model.

Vivo Y31 Offers Snapdragon Chipset and IP Ratings at an Affordable Price

The standard Vivo Y31 delivers a solid set of features at a lower price point. Unlike its predecessor, which used a MediaTek chipset, this version includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It is available with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Like the Pro model, it lacks a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Y31 also includes a 50 MP rear camera and a 6,500 mAh battery, ensuring reliable performance throughout the day. It supports IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering strong protection against dust and water, which is uncommon in this price segment. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner adds convenience and security.

Its display is slightly smaller than the Pro variant but maintains full HD resolution. Vivo has positioned this phone for users seeking essential features and dependable performance without a high price tag. The device is available in two stylish color options: rose red and diamond green.

The Vivo Y31 is priced at INR 14,999 (approximately $170), while the Y31 Pro is priced at INR 18,999 (about $215). Both models are now available for purchase through Vivo’s official website and select retail partners. With this release, Vivo strengthens its position in the competitive mid-range market, targeting users who want large batteries, solid cameras, and modern performance features.
