CMF Headphone Pro Features Modular Design and 100-Hour Battery

lucadelladora – CMF, an independent sub-brand of Nothing, has unveiled its first over-ear headphones, the CMF Headphone Pro. These headphones stand out with a modular design that lets users customize ear cushions in different colors. The headphones come in Light Green, Light Grey, and Dark Grey, with optional Orange cushions available separately. This modularity allows users to mix and match ear cushions, even choosing different colors for each earcup.

The headphones feature an innovative design approach. Instead of traditional buttons, CMF uses a dial for volume control, playback, and active noise cancellation (ANC). They also include an “Energy Slider” for fine-tuning bass and treble, giving users control over their sound profile. This design combines personalization and functionality in a fresh way.

Inside, the CMF Headphone Pro packs 40mm drivers with nickel-coated diaphragms and 16.5mm copper coils. The headphones use a precision bass duct to deliver rich, clear sound with good depth. Additionally, the headphones can analyze the user’s ear shape to optimize audio output, creating a personalized listening experience.

This release follows Nothing’s earlier launch of the Headphone (1), its first over-ear model. CMF’s independence as a sub-brand lets it push unique design elements like modular parts, reinforcing Nothing’s reputation for innovation. The CMF Headphone Pro combines style, usability, and sound quality at a competitive price point.

Advanced Features, Hybrid ANC, and Impressive Battery Life in CMF Headphone Pro

The CMF Headphone Pro offers modern features that compete with premium headphones. It carries an IPX2 rating, making it splash-resistant for everyday use. The headphones utilize hybrid ANC technology to reduce ambient noise by up to 40dB. The ANC system automatically adjusts based on surrounding sound levels to provide a seamless listening experience.

Equipped with five microphones, these headphones support clear voice calls and enhanced noise cancellation. They offer Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity with Multipoint support, allowing simultaneous connections to multiple devices. CMF Headphone Pro also supports spatial audio and LDAC codec with double Hi-Res certification for both wired and wireless listening. Compatibility spans Android, iOS, and Windows platforms, including Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair for quick device connections.

Battery life impresses with up to 100 hours of playback time without ANC and 50 hours with ANC enabled. Talk time reaches 50 hours without ANC and 35 hours when ANC is on. When using LDAC, playback drops slightly to 70 hours without ANC and 38 hours with ANC. Fast charging offers a convenient boost—just five minutes of charging delivers four hours of playback. Full charging requires about two hours via USB-C.

Interestingly, users can also charge the headphones by connecting them directly to a phone using a USB-C to USB-C cable. However, the CMF Headphone Pro does not support audio through USB-C connections. A 3.5mm audio jack is available for wired listening, maintaining versatility for different use cases.

CMF’s first headphone product balances style, comfort, and performance. Its modular design appeals to those who value personalization, while advanced audio technology satisfies audiophiles. The CMF Headphone Pro marks a strong entry into the competitive headphone market, with further potential as CMF expands its product lineup.
