The Moto G 2026 recently reappeared with the Moto G Play 2026, confirming earlier leaks from May that featured the Moto G Power 2026. The latest images show that the Moto G 2026 retains the design language of its predecessor while incorporating some subtle changes.
Both devices feature a 6.7-inch display with a 720p resolution, matching the screen used in the Moto G 2025. According to Android Headlines, the Moto G Play 2026 also sports the same panel. This display offers 1,000 nits peak brightness and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. However, it uses the older Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for screen protection.
Under the hood, both smartphones run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6nm process. This is the same processor found in this year’s Moto G 2025, currently priced around $175 on Amazon.
In terms of memory, the phones will include 4 GB of RAM. Storage options differ: the Moto G 2026 comes with 128 GB of expandable UFS 2.2 flash storage, while the Moto G Play 2026 offers only 64 GB.
Battery, Charging, and Camera Differences Highlight Model Variations
Both the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026 pack a large 5,200 mAh battery. However, charging speeds differ between the two models. The Moto G 2026 supports 30W fast charging, whereas the Moto G Play 2026 is limited to 18W charging.
Camera setups show clear distinctions between the two phones. The Moto G 2026 features a higher-end camera system with a 50 MP primary sensor and a 32 MP front-facing camera. In contrast, the Moto G Play 2026 comes with more modest options, including a 32 MP main camera and an 8 MP selfie camera. Other details, such as pricing and release dates, have not yet been disclosed by Motorola. Still, these leaks give a solid idea of what to expect from both models in terms of design and performance.

Overall, the Moto G 2026 appears positioned as the more premium option, with enhanced charging and camera capabilities. The Moto G Play 2026, while more affordable, retains many core features like the large display and strong battery life.
Motorola’s strategy seems to balance offering budget-friendly options without sacrificing essential specs. Both devices target mid-range users who want reliable performance and good value. Fans of the series can expect more official details in the coming months.
