lucadelladora – Xiaomi is preparing to launch global versions of the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. These models recently appeared in new certification documents, signaling their international rollout beyond China. Notably, Xiaomi is also developing dedicated variants for the Thai market, showing a tailored approach for regional buyers.
Leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore discovered TÜV SÜD certification filings in Singapore for devices with model numbers 25080RABDG, 25080RABDT, 2510ERA8BG, and 2510ERA8BT. The first two correspond to the global and Thai versions of the Redmi Note 15 Pro. Meanwhile, the latter two identify the global and Thai variants of the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 15 series in China last month, including the Redmi Note 15, Redmi Note 15 Pro, and Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. While the global launch of the Redmi Note 15 and Redmi Note 15 Pro seems assured, the Pro Plus Satellite Messaging Version may remain exclusive to China.
The certification filings suggest Xiaomi will offer 5G connectivity in the global Redmi Note 15 Pro, distinguishing it from the 4G version also in development. This indicates Xiaomi’s intention to meet diverse market requirements and network standards.
By introducing specific Thai variants, Xiaomi shows a strategic focus on Southeast Asia. Localized models may offer region-specific features, regulatory compliance, or optimizations. This move aligns with Xiaomi’s growing footprint in emerging markets.
Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus Global Variant to Feature Hardware Changes
The Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus global version will differ from its Chinese counterpart in several key ways. Recent leaks reveal that the global model will include a 6,500 mAh battery with 100 W wired fast charging support. This setup promises long-lasting power and rapid recharge times.
In terms of camera hardware, Xiaomi will equip the global Pro Plus variant with a Samsung ISOCELL S5KHPE primary sensor. However, the OmniVision OV50M telephoto camera found on the Chinese model will not be included in the international version.
This hardware variation echoes Xiaomi’s approach with the previous Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus, which also saw differences between Chinese and global releases. Such changes typically reflect supply chain considerations, market preferences, and cost adjustments.
