The display measures 8 inches diagonally and offers a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. Despite the modest resolution, the small panel achieves a high pixel density. The screen reaches an impressive 283 pixels per inch.
Such density exceeds many premium laptops with larger displays. The touchscreen also supports 10-point touch input. A 360-degree hinge allows the display to rotate for flexible viewing angles. The compact design focuses on portability. The device weighs approximately 650 grams, or about 1.43 pounds. Its dimensions measure roughly 20 by 13 by 1.8 centimeters.
Tenku designed the Pocket 8 for users who prioritize compact computing. Ultra-small laptops appeal to enthusiasts who prefer minimal hardware footprints. These devices often target productivity on the move. Despite the small form factor, the Pocket 8 includes a full keyboard. Due to the limited space, the keyboard is naturally compact. A trackpoint replaces the traditional touchpad to save space.
Intel Alder Lake-N Processor, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB Storage
The Pocket 8 is powered by the Intel Core i3 N305 processor. This Alder Lake-N chip features eight cores and eight threads. The processor reaches a boost clock of up to 3.8 GHz. Graphics are handled by an integrated Intel UHD GPU. The GPU includes 32 execution units based on Intel’s Xe architecture. This configuration supports everyday computing tasks.
Performance targets typical daily workloads rather than intensive processing. Users should expect smooth performance for browsing and media consumption. Lightweight productivity tasks are also suitable for the device. The laptop includes 16GB of LPDDR5-4800 memory. Storage is provided through a 512GB M.2 2280 solid-state drive. This configuration offers sufficient capacity for most portable workloads.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Physical ports include two USB Type-A connectors. One supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 while the other supports USB 3.2 Gen 2. Additional ports include a USB Type-C connector. The device also features a Mini HDMI 1.4 port. A microSD card reader and a 3.5mm audio combo jack are also included.
Power comes from a 3,800mAh battery. The battery supports mobile usage throughout the day depending on workload. The device remains designed primarily for short productivity sessions. Tenku has already launched the Pocket 8 in Japan. The micro laptop is priced at approximately 94,800 yen. This equals roughly 608 US dollars at current exchange rates.
