The iQOO 15R features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 4,320Hz PWM dimming. Vivo also claims a local peak brightness of 5,000 nits.

An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner sits beneath the display. The front camera is housed in a centered cutout. It features a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. This differentiates it from the standard iQOO 15 configuration. The chipset targets flagship-level performance. The phone is available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Meanwhile, storage options include 256GB and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Together, these configurations aim to support smooth multitasking and fast data access.

On the design front, the iQOO 15R features a squircle-shaped camera island on the rear. Within this module, a circular housing contains two sensors. At the core, the main camera uses a 50MP Sony LYT-700V sensor with optical image stabilization.

In addition, an 8MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture complements the primary sensor. To enhance imaging, the device integrates several AI-based photography tools. These include AI retouch, AI reflection eraser, AI season change, and AI UHD image sharpening.

Out of the box, the phone ships with OriginOS 6.0. According to Vivo, the company promises smooth performance for up to five years. Furthermore, the operating system supports live photo wallpapers and screen mirroring capabilities.

When it comes to connectivity, the phone supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Additionally, it offers dual SIM functionality. For charging and data transfer, the device uses a USB 2.0 port.
