lucadelladora – Asus has officially started selling the Asus ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS in several international markets, introducing a new ultra-wide OLED gaming monitor aimed at high-end PC gamers.
The monitor was initially revealed during CES 2026 earlier this year before being showcased again recently alongside the smaller ROG Strix XG129C.
Now, the 34-inch OLED display has begun appearing at retailers across Europe and Australia.
34-Inch QD-OLED Panel With 280Hz Refresh Rate
The ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS features a 34-inch QD-OLED panel with:
- 3,440 x 1,440 resolution
- 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio
- 1800R curvature
- 280Hz refresh rate
The monitor uses a similar core panel setup to the earlier Asus ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMTG, but Asus has upgraded the refresh rate to 280Hz for smoother gaming performance.
The combination of OLED technology and ultra-high refresh rates is increasingly popular among competitive gamers because it delivers both deep contrast and extremely fast response times.
Peak Brightness Reaches 1,300 Nits
In HDR mode, Asus says the monitor can achieve up to 1,300 nits peak brightness.
That level of brightness should help improve HDR gaming and media experiences, especially when combined with OLED’s strong contrast performance and accurate black levels.
The monitor also includes Asus’ BlackShield Film technology, which is designed to:
- Reduce reflections
- Improve perceived black depth
- Minimize glare in bright environments
Reflection handling has often been one of the bigger challenges for glossy OLED gaming monitors, making this addition particularly notable.
International Availability Expands
The ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS has now appeared at retailers including:
- Amazon Germany
- Amazon France
- LDLC France
- PC Case Gear Australia
Asus has additionally listed the monitor in:
- United Kingdom
- Spain
- Netherlands
However, not every regional listing currently includes finalized pricing information.
Pricing Varies by Region
In Australia, Asus has priced the monitor at:
- AUD 1,499
Shipments there are expected to begin on June 5.
Meanwhile, pricing across European markets currently ranges between:
- €849
- €926
The monitor enters an increasingly competitive premium OLED gaming monitor segment, where brands continue pushing higher refresh rates and brighter HDR performance.

High-End Gaming Focus
With its ultra-wide OLED panel, 280Hz refresh rate, and HDR capabilities, the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS appears specifically designed for enthusiasts seeking both immersive gaming and competitive performance.
The 21:9 aspect ratio is especially popular for racing games, simulation titles, and cinematic single-player experiences, while the 280Hz refresh rate also targets fast-paced esports gameplay.
Combined with OLED response times and high brightness output, the monitor positions itself among Asus’ most advanced gaming displays currently available.
