The upcoming device will succeed the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, which was later released globally under the Astra branding.
Although RedMagic previously confirmed the tablet’s existence earlier this year, the company has not officially announced a release date. However, fresh reports from known leakers now indicate the launch is approaching quickly.
According to reports, the Gaming Tablet 5 Pro will directly compete with devices such as the Lenovo Legion Tablet Gen 5 in the growing compact gaming tablet segment.
OLED Display Could Give RedMagic an Advantage
One of the biggest rumored upgrades is the display technology.
Unlike the Legion Tablet Gen 5, which uses an 8.8-inch LCD panel. The RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro is expected to feature a larger 9-inch OLED display.
The screen could also support a 185Hz refresh rate. Representing an improvement over the 165Hz panel found on both the previous RedMagic tablet and Lenovo’s competing device.
