Honor Debuts 120Hz Laptops with Intel Panther Lake

lucadelladora – Honor has officially introduced the new Honor MagicBook X14 Plus 2026 and Honor MagicBook X16 Plus 2026 in China. Expanding its thin-and-light laptop lineup with two models aimed directly at premium ultraportable competitors like the MacBook Air.

The new laptops focus on portability, battery life, and modern Intel hardware while maintaining relatively competitive pricing. Both models are powered by Intel’s Panther Lake platform, specifically the Core Ultra 5 325 processor.

Although this chip sits below more powerful Panther Lake options such as the Core Ultra 5 338H found in some competing laptops. Honor appears to be prioritizing efficiency and mobility over maximum performance.

For everyday productivity, web browsing, office work, media consumption, and light creative workloads. The processor should still provide more than enough capability.

Slim Design and High-Refresh Displays

The smaller MagicBook X14 Plus 2026 weighs approximately 2.84 pounds and measures just 14.99mm thick. Placing it firmly in the premium ultraportable category.

It features a 14-inch display with a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 430 nits of brightness.

The higher refresh rate should make scrolling and interface navigation feel smoother, while the sharp resolution improves overall visual clarity.

Meanwhile, the MagicBook X16 Plus 2026 offers a larger 16-inch display while still remaining relatively thin at 15.99mm. It weighs around 3.61 pounds, which is still light for a laptop in this size category.

The larger panel uses a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with the same 120Hz refresh rate and 430-nit brightness rating.

Honor states that both displays cover 100% of the sRGB color space, suggesting good color reproduction for media and creative work.

Large Battery and Durable Build

One notable feature across the lineup is the shared 80Wh battery. Despite the difference in screen size, both laptops use the same battery capacity.

Honor claims the systems can deliver up to 14 hours of total runtime, which could make them attractive options for users who prioritize portability and long battery life.

The laptops also support reverse 65W fast charging, adding extra flexibility for charging accessories or other devices.

Durability is another major focus. Honor highlights both IPX2 water resistance and MIL-STD 810H certification, indicating the laptops are designed to withstand light splashes and more demanding daily use conditions.

Cooling has also received attention, with Honor claiming the thermal system can sustain up to 50W of performance output.

Both the MagicBook X14 Plus and X16 Plus launch with:

  • 16GB RAM
  • 1TB SSD storage

Premium Thin-and-Light Competition Heats Up

The MagicBook X Plus 2026 lineup shows Honor continuing to target the growing premium ultraportable market dominated by Apple and other major brands.

Rather than focusing purely on raw performance, these laptops aim to balance portability, battery life, display quality, and durability in a sleek package.

If global pricing remains competitive, the new MagicBook X14 Plus and X16 Plus could become strong alternatives for users considering thin-and-light premium laptops in 2026.
